Four candidates are officially in the running for the Humber-Gros Morne byelection as the nomination period came to a close this afternoon.
Earlier this month, former premier Dwight Ball announced he was stepping down from his seat, triggering the byelection.
Ball endorsed premier Andrew Furey to represent the Liberals in the district.
Deer Lake deputy mayor Mike Goosney is the PC candidate, while Graham Downey-Sutton will represent the NDP.
Graydon Pelley, the leader of the Newfoundland and Labrador Alliance, will represent his party in the byelection.
Election day is October 6.
