RCMP are looking for a woman, and have arrested a Heart’s Delight man in connection with a recent attempted robbery at Powell’s Supermarket in Carbonear.

Police were called to the store around 8:30 Wednesday morning. A woman wearing a helmet entered the grocery store and approached a cashier demanding cash.

She left the store empty-handed and got on the back of a motorcycle waiting outside.

Police located the bike, and it was seized and impounded. The driver of the motorcycle, 28-year-old Lewis Sooley, was arrested and charged with prohibited driving, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and failing to comply with a court order.
