Heavy rainfall has caused damage to roads on a number of routes across the island.
The department of transportation and works says there has been a culvert washout on North Harbour Road, which is between Colinet and North Harbour.
A large portion of the road has been completely washed away. Residents are instead asked to use route 100 to reach the TCH.
As well, Route 310 has been damaged in the community of Salvage.
The Department of Transportation and works has since made some temporary repairs to the area.
Temporary repairs completed on Route 310 in Salvage.

The department has also closed Emerald Vale Road in Clarke’s Beach due to water running over the road.
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route at this time.
The town of Placentia has reported significant damage as well. They say there is a section of Freshwater Crescent that is not passable. The town has been in contact with the province and fire department to address all affected areas.
