The annual Terry Fox Run is taking place tomorrow, but unlike previous events, this year’s will have no crowds of people and no fixed locations.
This year, participants are being encouraged to “try like Terry” and get outside and do something active – whether that be by yourself or with family and friends.
Kirk Leach, Provincial Director of the Terry Fox Foundation says that 40 years later it is still very important to keep Terry’s message of hope alive.
He notes that we have come a long way in 40 years, but we are still a long way away from having a cure for cancer, which is why we need to keep going.
