Crews worked around the clock over the weekend to repair roads that were damaged or washed out by heavy rains in the wake of hurricane Sally.
But they could be right back at it this week if the next one, hurricane Teddy, lives up to its billing.
Environment Canada has issued tropical storm watches for Nova Scotia and southern Newfoundland, with heavy rainfall, strong winds and wave surge warnings in effect.
The tail end of hurricane Sally hit eastern parts of Newfoundland hard Friday into Saturday, with just over 200 millimetres of rain falling on the Placentia area, the most recorded by far over the weekend.
Damage to roadways was severe in some areas, particularly on the North Harbour Road, where a large chunk of highway was washed away.
This Tweet shows the damage before the repairs shown above.
Another look at the damage on Route 92, North Harbour Road.
Crews are on site north and south of North Harbour and repairs are beginning.
