A woman has been charged with assault with a weapon, a vehicle being the weapon, after a dispute with her boyfriend.
The incident unfolded on the west side of Corner Brook after a man called the RNC to say that his girlfriend had taken his vehicle without his consent. He tried to stop her by holding onto the bonnet but fell off when she put the vehicle in motion.
The 37-year-old woman eventually returned and has been charged theft of a motor vehicle, assault causing bodily harm, threatening to kill the complainant, impaired driving, and driving a motor vehicle while suspended.
The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
