The Provincial PC Party will not be conducting a leadership review of Ches Crosbie.
A motion on the subject was presented at the party’s AGM yesterday and was voted down.
Party President Eugene Manning says the membership has spoken, and Crosbie will be leading the PCs into the next general election.
He continues that voting down the motion is “a clear vote of confidence” in Crosbie.
Crosbie calls the result a statement from the party that there is unity and focus as they prepare for the next election.
He notes that he had asked for a review, but the will of the party is that it would be an “unnecessary distraction,” which he calls a “very strong” vote of confidence.
