Holy Cross has made a clean sweep of events today, taking home titles with both their men’s and women’s soccer teams.
The Holy Cross Avalon Ford women captured their fifth straight Breen’s Jubilee Trophy championship this afternoon with a 5-0 win over Feildians.
Kate Hickey put up two goals for Holy Cross, with Malorie Harris, Jessie Noseworthy, and Teri Murphy each scoring a single goal themselves.
As well, Nicole Torraville of Holy Cross garnered the Sherry Morrissey award as MVP of the playoffs.
Meanwhile the Holy Cross Kirby Group bested the Feildians 2-1 to take home the Johnson Insurance Challenge Trophy.
Jacob Grant had both goals for Holy Cross and was named the playoff MVP (Gerard Quirke memorial award)
