The mother of a Grade 7 student at Frank Roberts Junior High in CBS has gone public after her daughter was bullied at school both verbally and physically.
Robyn Brewer says her daughter has been the victim of excessive bullying for the last several weeks. Specifically, she says her daughter has been crowded by others who are attempting to fight her.
Brewer says this is having a serious impact on her daughter, she says her daughter hasn’t slept in weeks, her anxiety is “on bust” and she is afraid to go to school.
Brewer alleges that repeated pleas to the school to address the issue have resulted in little action being taken. She claims to have been told by the principal that nothing “relevant” enough had happened yet to warrant getting other parents involved, which has led Brewer to believe her daughter will have to actually get beaten up before anything is done.
Brewer is unsure what specific action needs to be taken but says something needs to be done to keep her daughter safe.

Meanwhile, The English Language School District says it takes any report of bullying very seriously and action is taken where necessary to ensure the safety and security of students.
When an incident is reported the school involved investigates and follows up with students, families and others.
District staff also help the school with the provision of internal or external support for the students involved, or the student body as a whole, including presentations.
