A property that had the misfortune of being located next to a Town of Paradise sewage lift station was demolished today.
The Town of Paradise purchased #3 St. Thomas Line from Jim Clarke last year after his property was repeatedly flooded with raw sewage as a result of continued problems at the neighbouring lift station.

The final straw came in September of last year when something went catastrophically wrong, sending sewage raining down onto his property.
The town compensated a thankful Clarke for the purchase of the home and removed all items on and in the property that were deemed reusable.
The demolition is expected to take the day to complete. The land will be used as part of upgrades to the adjoining lift station.
Residents and drivers can expect some traffic interruptions in the area as the work is carried out.
