RCMP have confirmed the death of a man involved in a two-vehicle crash near the Eastport turnoff Friday evening. The 44-year-old died in hospital early Monday morning.
The man was a passenger in a car that was in a collision with a truck at the Eastport turnoff.
The car, which was eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway, crossed over the centre line to make a left hand turn onto the Eastport highway when it collided with a westbound pickup.
The occupants of the car had to be removed with the Jaws of Life.
The occupants of the truck escaped serious injury. The investigation continues.
