Wildlife officials are seeking the public’s help after two caribou were shot, and their remains left on the roadside in St. Anthony.
The remains were discovered, untouched, along an access road near the St. Anthony Airport.
It is an offence under the wildlife act to wilfully or intentionally allow an animal’s remains that have been appropriated for food to be spoiled, wasted, or destroyed.
Anyone with information, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area between October 11 and 13 is asked to contact the Resource Enforcement Division in Roddickton or Crime Stoppers.
