Charges are pending for a 56-year-old man in the metro region after he tried to escape from police early this morning.
At around 12:30 a.m., the RNC attempted to pull the man over on Pitts Memorial Drive.
The man fled the scene and was arrested a short time later in Mount Pearl.
Charges are pending for flight from police as well as offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The man is also believed to have violated his parole.
The investigation is continuing.
