Officials are keeping tight-lipped on what’s intended for the old railway station on Water Street West.
The city revealed this week that the Railway Coastal Museum is closing permanently, but that the historic building will remain in the possession of the city.
Mayor Danny Breen indicated he’s bursting to say what the historic structure will be used for, but wouldn’t tip his hand just yet. He did indicate that they have a “very short list” of parties interested in the location.
Memorial University and the Genesis Centre aren’t talking either.
The Genesis Centre says it has no information to share at this time, but they welcome the opportunity to share more details once they are available.
