A recent survey shows that support for the concept of making Daylight Saving Time permanent is lower in Newfoundland and Labrador than any other province in Canada.
The Ontario Legislature this week passed a bill deciding to abandon the twice-yearly clock changes if Quebec and New York State follow suit.
Narrative Research put the question to Canadians, showing that the greatest amount of support is in New Brunswick at 91 per cent. The least amount of support was in Newfoundland and Labrador at 76 per cent.
At this time, the provincial government says it is not considering an end to daylight saving time in Newfoundland and Labrador.
