The province is reporting four new cases of COVID-19.
Three of these cases are in the Eastern Health region, the other is in the Central Health region.
The first, a woman under 19 years of age and the second, a woman between 20 to 39 years of age. They are both contacts of a previously known travel-related case and are members of the same household. Both individuals are self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
The Department of Health and Community Services is reassuring the public that there is no risk to schools as a result of these cases.
The third case in the Eastern Health region is a woman in her 40s. The woman is not a resident of the province, she travelled here from Alberta after receiving a travel exemption. The woman is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
The fourth new case in the Central Health region is a woman between 20 to 39 years of age. Public Health is currently investigating the source of this case, The woman is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
The Department of Health and Community Services is also providing an update on two of the cases announced yesterday with unknown sources.
Both cases were found to be travel-related. One person is a resident who returned to the province from Alberta. The other, a non-resident who travelled to the province from Africa after receiving a travel exemption.
Newfoundland and Labrador now has 26 active cases of the virus, as five people recovered since yesterday. To date, 64,134 people have been tested.
