The “Adopt-a-Hydrant” program is returning to Corner Brook.
The program was halted in 2020 due to COVID-19 but will be making i’s return for 2021 on January 4.
The initiative encourages residents to help keep the fire hydrants in the city clear of snow during the winter.
Participants will clear a 3-foot area around the adopted hydrant after each snowfall and clear a path to the street.
At the end of March, there will be a draw for a new Toro snowblower.
