A weather system moving in from the Maritimes is going to dump heavy rain on much of the island and drop significant snowfall in parts of Labrador.
Rain begins this afternoon in the west and the south before moving to the east tonight and metro overnight.
Rainfall warnings are out for the south coast with 75 mm possible by tomorrow in some areas, metro will see under 25 mm.
Veronica Sullivan, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, says winds will reach 100 km/h in some areas and 120 km/h in the Wreckhouse.
She says the winds will pick up to 80 km/h late tonight and 100 km/h tomorrow.
The Happy Valley-Goose Bay area could see 15 centimetres of snow tomorrow.
