Staff at a business in the centre of St. John’s played a part in the apprehension of a man after he allegedly tried to get away without paying.
Workers called the RNC just after 8:30 p.m. and followed the man until officers arrived and arrested him outside a private residence in the area.
A 37-year-old man has been charged with theft under $5,000. He was released to appear in court later.
