The COVID vaccine rollout continues to fuel optimism about the future, and the travel industry is in planning mode to figure out how they will bounce back from the pandemic.
The tourism sector has been decimated by the pandemic, with once busy airlines and hotels being reduced to virtual ghost towns following the March lockdown.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that everyone who wishes to receive the vaccine will have it by September.
With that news in mind Derek Winsor, of E&B Travel, says the focus for his industry now is on planning for the fall of this year and the spring of 2022.
He says it’s all about the planning now because there have been so many shutdowns that there will be a supply and demand issue when things do start opening up.
