A 53-year-old Bay Roberts woman was arrested for drug-impaired driving after allegedly speeding through a school zone last week.
RCMP noticed a vehicle driving 78 km/h through a school zone in Bay Roberts around 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 28.
Police pulled the vehicle over and the driver was arrested and taken to the detachment where she completed a drug influence evaluation.
Police are awaiting the results of the test to determine if charges are warranted.
The woman’s driving licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
