The federal New Democrats today followed up on its proposal to introduce a national dental care program for uninsured Canadians.
Newfoundland MP Jack Harris tabled a motion in the House of Commons calling on the federal government to establish a dental care plan for uninsured families earning less than $90,000 per year as an interim measure toward the inclusion of full dental care in the national health care system.
Harris says millions of Canadians do not have access to adequate dental care, with no access to the care they need.
That, he says, could lead to serious dental or future health problems.
Today, I'm following up on an NDP proposal to create a federal Dental Care program for uninsured Canadians.
No one should have to deal with agonizing dental pain or put their health at risk because the can't afford to go to the dentist! #dentalcare #NDP #cndpoli #nlpoli🦷🪥 pic.twitter.com/fpQPPsL6DL
