A 35-year-old Grates Cove woman was arrested and charged following a car crash on the main highway in Old Perlican on Monday, February 1.
RCMP were called to the area just before 6 p.m. after a car struck a guardrail.
The driver, who was still on the scene, was on court ordered conditions not to consume alcohol. She refused to provide a breath sample and allegedly assaulted a police officer during her arrest.
Police say she assaulted the same officer a second time after being taken to the detachment in Harbour Grace.
Nicole Driscoll was arrested and appeared in court yesterday. She’s facing a list of charges including refusing to comply with a breath demand, resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting a police officer and failing to comply with a release order condition.
She’s scheduled to return to court March 3.
