Repairs are underway to fix damage caused to transmission towers in Labrador by a recent winter storm.
Nalcor indicated last week that while the main components of the transmission towers and lines were not damaged, the damage was done to some components on a number of the towers carrying the line from L’anse au Diable to Muskrat Falls.
Repairs are needed to eight of the more than 1,200 towers, along with some repairs to the electrode line which broke and fell to the ground.
Some repairs are already completed with the rest of the repairs expected to be completed within the next month.
An investigation into the root cause of the damage is ongoing.
