With the May 24th long weekend underway, it’s shaping up to be a wet one.
Rain mixed with snow is expected to begin tonight and continue into the morning. Around 15 to 25 millimeters of rain and two centimeters of snow is expected in the Metro area, with similar amounts for the rest of the island.
With winds gusting to 60 or 70 for most of the island, it’s looking like an unpleasant night for those camping.
However, Meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, Savio Paul, says there will be some levity in the weather.
He says a high-pressure system is moving across the island, which will bring sunny skies for Monday afternoon and Tuesday.
