Two of the country’s most prominent premiers have seen big pandemic-related drops in approval ratings. That’s according to the latest leadership approval survey conducted by Angus Reid.
Ontario’s Doug Ford and Alberta’s Jason Kenney both saw approval ratings plummet from almost 70 per cent for Doug Ford in the spring of 2020 to just 35 per cent in June of this year.
Fewer than one-third of Albertans surveyed approve of Jason Kenney’s performance—coming in last in approval ratings among the ten provincial premiers.

Number one is Quebec’s Francois Legault at 66 per cent, while Premier Andrew Furey comes in third at 62 per cent—just behind British Columbia’s John Horgan.
Furey’s approval rating has increased since March after he called a controversial pandemic election.
