Expect some slowdowns on the Veteran’s Memorial Highway tomorrow.

The ramp leading from the highway to the Trans Canada eastbound will be closed for paving beginning tomorrow.

The ramp will be closed to ensure the safety of crews working in the area.

If you’re travelling from Route 75/Route 70 to the TCH, you will detour onto the westbound TCH and access the eastbound lanes via the Hodgewater Line interchange at exit 30 approximately six kilometres away.

This work is anticipated to be completed this weekend.

Drivers coming off the Veterans Memorial and who are travelling eastbound on the TCH will be diverted onto the highway westbound where they can access the eastbound lanes through the Hodgewater Line interchange about 6 km to the west.

The Department of Transportation and Works hopes to have the work completed and the ramp reopened later this weekend. They advise people to check the NL 511 app before travelling to be aware of any road work or road closures that could cause any delays.
