The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating following the discovery of what are suspected to be human remains discovered near Mugford Tickle north of Nain.
RCMP were called shortly after midnight on Sunday by a group camping in the area. Police attended the scene via helicopter on Tuesday, accompanied by an archaeologist from the Nunatsiavut Government.
The remains were located and transported back to Nain, a search of area was completed and no other remains were located.
