The PCs aren’t in favour of leaving Motor Vehicle Registration as an online and appointment-based system with no walk-in service.
The minister responsible, Sarah Stoodley, said yesterday that they have no immediate plans to go back to the pre-pandemic model whereby people dropped in as they wished. She says some had to wait three or four hours so government instead is going to work out the kinks and the glitches.

The PC critic for Service NL and Digital Government, Loyola O’Driscoll, says difficulty accessing motor vehicle services is an issue right across the province, especially with seniors. He says some just don’t have the ability to navigate the system. As well, access to the internet is an issue.
Stoodley says are in the process of adding staff and improving the website.
