Government has appointed an interim chief of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary. Patrick Roche began his career with the force in 1985.
Throughout his 36 years as a police officer, Roche has worked in the Patrol Services and Criminal Investigation Divisions. Most recently, he was Commanding Officer for Corner Brook and Labrador.
He replaces Chief Joe Boland whose last day is Friday.
John Hogan, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, made the announcement today.
