There’s an announcement coming today in St. John’s on child care. The federal and provincial governments will address media mid-afternoon from the College of the North Atlantic on Prince Philip Drive.
Premier Andrew Furey, the federal minister responsible for child care, Ahmed Hussen, and the province’s representative in the federal cabinet, Seamus O’Regan will be on hand.
It’s expected that the two governments will follow the lead of B.C. and Nova Scotia and begin planning for $10-a-day child care.
