Another major milestone in this province’s vaccination plan has been reached as about half of all eligible residents have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
About 83 per cent have received at least one dose—but the provincial statistics say that about 50 per cent have their second dose complete.
That means, as long as case counts remain low, this province is well ahead of its target to roll out Step 2 of its reopening plan—which could arrive as early as August 15.
The latest COVID-related numbers will be issued this afternoon at 2 p.m.—however, the next live briefing is not until next Wednesday or Thursday depending on the St. John’s Regatta.
