Former mayor and councillor Charles Pender is seeking a seat on Corner Brook city council in the upcoming municipal election.
Pender previously served as mayor for two terms and says he’s noticed that “things have really slowed down” in the city over the last few years—indicating that while the city has a new sign and a train, “core services have paid the price.”
He says money has been wasted on a roundabout while many city streets are “in pitiful condition.”
Pender is running for council indicating that hard questions need to be asked over the next four years, and he would like to be there to ask those questions.
