The federal Liberals are leading the pack when it comes to voter intentions in Newfoundland and Labrador, according to a new poll from Narrative Research.
As of August 29, the Liberals maintain a strong lead in the province with 52 per cent of the decided vote. However, that number is down from 60 per cent support in May.
The Conservatives are next at 25 per cent, up from 23 per cent, followed by the NDP at 22 per cent support, up from 17 per cent.
Support for the People’s Party is at one per cent in the province, while the Green Party is less than that.
One quarter of NL voters are undecided.

Justin Trudeau is still the preferred leader at 40 per cent, followed by the NDP’s Jagmeet Singh at 23 per cent and the Tories’ Erin O’Toole at 18 per cent.
Meanwhile, overall satisfaction with the federal government has been steadily declining since last November. Back then, 72 per cent of respondents expressed some level of satisfaction, compared with 55 per cent in August.
The independent phone survey was conducted between August 15 and 29, and is based on a sample of 333 NL Residents, and is accurate ± 5.4 percentage points, 95 times out of 100.
