The province is reporting 15 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, in an unexpected advisory issued today.
Eight of the new cases are in Eastern Health. Five are related to travel, one is a close contact of a previous case, and one is under investigation.
Three are in Western Health, two of which are close contacts of a previous case, with the other under investigation.
Two of three cases in Labrador-Grenfell Health are under investigation, the third is a close contact. There are also seven presumptive positive cases in this region, as Public Health is advising of a cluster with a large number of contacts in the Roddickton area.
The single case in Central is under investigation.
There have been 11 new recoveries, leaving 33 active cases, with one person in hospital.
Contact tracing is underway and anyone considered a close contact has been advised to quarantine. Public Health are investigating clusters in both the Eastern and Western Health regions.
Advisories of potential exposure sites have been issued for 22 businesses in the Corner Brook and Metro areas.
