When the pandemic struck, courtesy busing was eliminated to ensure social distancing on school buses. Now that students are returning to class under a low-risk scenario, courtesy busing can once again be offered where space allows.
Education Minister Tom Osborne is asking families who live outside the 1.6 km zone and who are eligible for busing but choose not to use it, to let their school know.
He says seats are held for students eligible for busing. He says if you see a bus with empty seats, those are seats that are not being used.
