The cleanup continues from storm damage caused by Hurricane Larry.
A local arborist says he was disheartened to see the level of damage done to trees by the weekend storm.
Some of the hardest-hit species, which are also among the most plentiful, were the Norway maples.
Lead arborist at Snow and Mow, Taro Foley Tanaka, says he and his team have been “flat out” cleaning up the damage and working each day until dark.
He says the property damage caused by downed trees and limbs is extensive in some cases.

In one case, a large, mature poplar was uprooted, ripping up a fence, smashing a shed and ripping the power lines from the house.
Tanaka is urging caution to those who are cleaning up their properties on their own.
He and his team are trained professionals and the work they do is still extremely dangerous.
They wear hard hats, chain saw pants and other protective equipment.
Tanaka also warns people to stay away from branches hung up in trees, ‘because they could let go at any point’.
