Memorial University is seeing a good response to its mandatory mask and COVID-19 vaccination mandate, announced prior to the start of the current semester.
Chief Risk Officer at Memorial University, Greg McDougall, says vaccination rates are high according to a recent survey.
They’ve had nearly 20,000 responses showing vaccination rates that are greater than the provincial average.
McDougall says very few people have sought vaccine exemptions, while those who have will be put into a pro-active testing program that will start at the end of the month.
Mask use is also high on campus according to McDougall.
