The recount of ballots cast in the municipal election in Paradise is complete and the list of elected councilors remains the same.
The town received a request for a recount in the municipal election held on Tuesday.
Mayor Dan Bobbett was acclaimed – leaving a battle for the six at-large councilors. Because of that, the recount will involve all candidates who ran in the town.
Just six votes separated the sixth place candidate from the seventh-place candidate, prompting the request for a recount.
The results of the recount were released this afternoon. Elected to Paradise council are Kimberly Street, Patrick Martin, Elizabeth Laurie, Glenn Carew, Larry Vaters and Deborah Quilty.
