The Independent MHA for Mount Pearl-Southlands is calling on government to resume meetings of the committee on COVID-19.

Paul Lane says the committee, consisting of MHAs from all three parties as well as Lane, was formed at the onset of the pandemic.

While it was not a working committee, says Lane, it did provide an opportunity for all members to provide feedback to the premier and minister related to management of the pandemic.

He says people have many questions surrounding vaccinations, restrictions, travel and the new vaccine passport.

Lane feels reconvening the committee would be an effective way to get direct answers to important questions.
