The English School District is warning students and their parents about a new social media challenge that board officials say won’t be tolerated.
There have been a series of challenges in recent months encouraging young people to engage in inappropriate and in some cases criminal activities.
They include the destruction of public property as was recently seen in a number of local municipalities.
This time young people are being dared to smack a school staff member on the backside.
In a letter recently distributed to parents, the school district says such physical contact constitutes assault and will not be tolerated.
Such behaviour, says the school district, could result in serious discipline from the school. They’re asking parents to discuss appropriate behaviour with their children.
