One person is dead as the result of a collision involving an ATV and a motorcycle on the highway near King’s Point yesterday.
Springdale RCMP received the call around 2:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
The motorcycle collided with an ATV that was crossing the highway towing a small cart.
A 31-year-old woman, who was a passenger on the motorcycle died at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the ATV was unhurt.
The crash forced the closure of the highway in both directions for an extended period through the late afternoon and into the evening.
