Newfoundland and Labrador Housing confirms a vandalism spree over the weekend that resulted in damage to a number of corporate vehicles parked on their lot off Columbus Drive.

The RNC were called and are investigating.

NLHC says a total of 17 vehicles were damaged, eight of which had to be towed from the scene.

Most vehicles had their windshield and side windows smashed and two had interior damage.

Gas was also siphoned from the vehicles.

Eight of the vehicles with window damage have been repaired and are back in operation, the remainder will be back in operation by early next week.

An estimate on the cost of damage is not yet available.
