As we told you yesterday, there is a big jump at the pumps today as gas prices hit a new record high in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Gas can go up by as much as 4.3 cents per litre but diesel on the island is up by over 9 cents. Stove oil is up by over 4 cents but oil for the furnace is virtually unchanged from yesterday.
The maximum cost of regular self service gasoline will cost $1.591 a litre on the Avalon Peninsula, $1.616 in Central and $1.598 in the Corner Brook/Deer Lake area.
In Central Labrador, maximum cost of regular self service gas will cost $1.508 a litre and $1.657 a litre in Western Labrador.
