Two people have been charged with impaired driving in the past 24 hours.
A 70-year-old woman was arrested Friday night after blowing almost three times the legal limit.
RNC responded to a call in the centre of St. John’s after witnesses reported seeing a vehicle hit a parked car.
The woman’s vehicle was impounded and she was released with a future court date.
The suspected drunk driver was also given a ticket for failing to notify the owner of an unattended vehicle of a collision.
Elsewhere, a 54-year-old man was charged with impaired driving following a safety stop in the Goulds area of the city.
He was also released to appear in court at a later date.
