A Brigus man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting an elderly man at the Bay Roberts Retirement Home.
44-year-old Christopher Power, who was a personal care attendant, had already been convicted of fraud and falsifying documents to pass himself off as a licenced practical nurse in connection with the same incident in August of 2020.
Power was caught fondling the genitals of an elderly male resident while the man slept.
Judge Jacqueline Brazil delivered the guilty verdict this afternoon in Harbour Grace Provincial Court.
She will sentence Power for the sexual assault and other charges on December 7th.
Power remains free on conditions until then.
