Students rallied on Confederation Hill this afternoon to make a point with politicians about post-secondary education.
The provincial government reduced the subsidy to Memorial University in the last budget, prompting the institution to increase tuition fees.
Kat McLaughlin, chairperson of the Canadian Federation of Students Newfoundland and Labrador branch says tuition is the main reason for the rally but there are also other issues.
They’re also concerned about issues such as access to MCP and affordable housing.
