COVID-19 has claimed two more lives in the province, bringing the province’s pandemic death toll to 15.
Both of the victims are in the Central Health region, one is a man in his 50s and the other is a woman over the age of 70.
There are eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province.
One is in the Eastern Health region, two are in Central Health and five are in the Western Health region.
There are a total of 47 active cases in the province – six of which are in hospital including two people in critical care.
Western Health has issued two new exposure notifications related to recent COVID investigations in the region.
The health authority is asking anyone who visited two separate locations at the times listed to arrange for COVID testing.
They include Louis Gee’s Pizza at 70 West Street in Corner Brook on Saturday October 16th from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 38 on Steel Mountain Road in St. George’s on Saturday, October 2nd from 8:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 3rd at 1:30 a.m.
