The Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers Association says while it supports policies that allow students to stay in the classroom, it will back up members who are not able to be vaccinated.
President Trent Langdon says the union agrees with what it calls the reasonable application of mandatory vaccination policy, indicating that the NLTA will support members who cannot be vaccinated.
He acknowledges there will be some people who cannot get vaccinated for one reason or another, and the union will support those members as they walk through that process.
