An Alberta man running across Canada in support of mental health finished his monumental trek today in St. John’s.
Skylar Roth-MacDonald, originally from Red Deer, began his journey in British Columbia four-and-a-half months ago, with the goal of raising $50,000 for Canadian mental health.
He has already surpassed his goal, sitting just shy of $58,000.
Roth-MacDonald has seen the impact of suicide as between seventh grade and graduation, eight kids that he knew of took their own life.
When at rock bottom himself, he found purpose in helping others.
He arrived in St. John’s this afternoon.
